FIRE PREVENTION/INVESTIGATION UPDATE <br /> <br />· The lock box program was discussed and the issue will be brought to the Public Safety <br /> Board. <br /> <br /> Officer Streich will be out of the office for two weeks, during this time any fire <br /> investigations should be directed to Chief Kapler, Officer Weiss or the State Fire Marshall. <br /> <br />MONTHLY REPORTS <br /> <br />/hS'SIST~ NT CHIEF HOXTER <br /> <br /> When the garage doors are left open at Station #2 leaves blow in, so either the doors need to <br /> be kept shut or sweep the leaves out of the garage when done at the station. <br /> <br /> Make sure the calendar on the board at Station #2 is filled out, this is where committees look <br /> for room availability. <br /> <br /> In October there were 27 calls, 10 were rescue, of which 1 was CO and 17 were fire. There <br /> were 10 day calls, 11 night calls and 6 weekend calls. There was 2 Mutual Aid calls. <br /> <br />· Year to date there has been 260 calls, 62 were rescue of which 17 were extrications and 188 <br /> were fire of which 35 were cancelled alarms. There was 9 Mutual Aid calls. <br /> <br />· Average response time for rescue calls in October was 4 minutes, average attendance was 14 <br /> firefighters and average time on the scene was 50 minutes. <br /> <br />· Average response time for fire calls in October was 8.5 minutes, average attendance was 15 <br /> firefighters and average time on the scene was 40 minutes. <br /> <br />('APT~tIN #11 <br /> <br />· Engine # l, Rescue #2 and Tanker #2 fuel tanks were below ~A full. <br /> <br />· The paint on Engine #1 was completed. <br /> <br />· Support bracket for the fender on Engine #1 rusted off. <br /> <br /> Cell phone on Engine #1 is not working. <br /> <br /> NoT, lc locks on Engine #1 were installed. <br /> <br />· Officer Weiss and Firefighter Lecy took the foam unit out of Tanker #1. <br /> <br />· Rescue #1 scene lights arc installed but not wired. <br /> <br /> FIRE DEPARTMENT OFFICERS/NOVEMBER 3, 2002 <br /> Page 3 of 6 <br /> <br /> <br />
