GRASS #2 REPLACEMENT

· A delivery date has not been established, the slide in unit should be complete when it arrives.
SCBA

· OflScers will train on the new equipment Thursday, May 8, 2003, 7:00 p.m.

Rather than using stickers for inventory Officer Streich had the equipment engraved. It is not
recommended that the bottles be engraved. Officer Streich will look into using a patch
sticker on the bottles.

· A lbrm for documenting use will have to be created. Firehouse has a worksheet much like
the run report.

· After training is completed new batteries will be installed to help track the usage.

· RIT packs will be embroidered on the handle.

SCBA TRAILER

· The Maako trailer will be purchased rather than the Bauer. It is less expensive and should
leave enough funds to purchase a compressor for Station #2. Both compressors and the
trailer will be Maako.

· The trailer will be pulled by the grass trucks or rescue truck.
Thc l)epartment may sell the cascade with the SCBA bottles.

· Rescue #2 will be replaced next year, and then both rescue trucks will be identical.

· Currently there are not funds available to build an accessory building to keep some of the
equipment in. This might be something the Lions would be interested in helping fund.

M I)T UPI)ATE

· Jon Tonding said the Department will get a terminal for Station #1. ChiefKapler will be
calling him regarding this.

ACFPC UPDATE

· Thc 800 Megahertz will be operational early to mid 2004. Hardware needs to be purchased.
Thc County can spend up to the bonded amount; however, any savings on the system cannot
be used for upgrading or additional items.

FIRE DEPARTMENT OFFICERS/MAY 6, 2003
