CELL PHONES <br /> <br />· Rescue #1 and Engine #1 each have a cell phone. The Department has one more cell phone <br /> that has not been used; Chief Kapler will cancel the third cell phone. <br /> <br />MN STATE FIRE CHIEFS CONFERENCE <br /> <br />· Chief Kapler, Assistant Chiefs Hoxter and Lemm and Officer Streich will be attending the <br /> Chi et' s Conference October 16th and 17th. <br /> <br />NEW FIREFIGHTER ORIENTATION <br /> <br />· Thrcc new firefighters will be added in 2004 to bring the total to 40 (if the 2004 budget is <br /> passed). <br /> <br /> Intbrtnation could be available at the open house if the budget is passed at that time and the <br /> Department decides to have an open house. Firefighters will be asked at the September <br /> business meeting if they are interested in having an open house this year. <br /> <br />ISO REVIEW <br /> <br />· Committee members received a copy of the 1991 ISO Report. Much of the information <br /> needed is in that report. <br /> <br />· Ewtluation forms were received and just need to be filled out and sent in. <br /> <br />WEEKEND BURNING TIMES REVIEW <br /> <br />· Thc new burning hours are not creating a problem. <br /> <br />TERRORIST DRILL <br /> <br />· At the September business meeting firefighters will have the opportunity to volunteer to <br /> participate in the September 21 st county wide terrorist drill. <br /> <br />IIAPPY DAYS EVENT <br /> <br />· Turnout gear from Station #2 should go home with the firefighters. The station will be <br /> locked. <br /> <br />· One truck will be used by the Anoka Hockey Team in the parade, which starts at 3:00 p.m. <br /> <br />· This is more of a City event than a Department event so there doesn't need to be a huge <br /> commitment by the Department; however, firefighters are welcome to attend as desired. <br /> <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT OFFICERS/SEPTEMBER 3, 2003 <br /> Page 3 of 6 <br /> <br /> <br />
