INCIDENT REPORT <br /> <br />In October there were 11 calls, 5 were rescue, of which 1 was CO and 14 were fire. There <br />were 11 day calls, 3 night calls, and 5 weekend calls. There were 2 Mutual Aid calls. <br /> <br />Year to date there has been 278 calls, 73 were rescue of which 11 were extrications and 205 <br />were fire of which 37 were cancelled alarms. There were 9 Mutual Aid calls. <br /> <br />SAFETY CONCERNS <br /> <br /> Cold weather is here, dress warm and practice winter driving skills. Jake brakes should be <br /> off: <br /> <br />o Make sure the check lists are done after each run. <br /> <br />· Thc scttings on the compressor will be checked to make sure the bottles are getting full at the <br /> level it states. <br /> <br />LADDER TRUCK UPDATE <br /> <br />· Assistant Chief Lemm and Officer Weiss will see the truck through to it's in service, working <br /> with placement and training of the equipment. The Department is working towards a <br /> December 1 st in service date. <br /> <br />· A rcpresentative met with Officers Streich and Nelson and Firefighter Bergerson to go <br /> through the hydraulic system. <br /> <br />· A Gcneral Representative will train on the water flow systems unique to this truck on <br /> Thursday, November 13th at Station #2. <br /> <br />SCilA TRAILER UPDATE <br /> <br />° Metro Fire will be at Station #2 on Friday, November 14th to train on the new compressor. <br />EXCESS INVENTORY <br /> <br /> Two departments received the bid for the excess SCBA equipment. Rush City has picked <br /> theirs up and the rest of the equipment needs to be weighed for shipment. <br /> <br />STATION #2 UPGRADE <br /> <br />· Thc ()Id compressor needs to be removed so the new one can be installed. <br /> <br />· Installation of the gear grids will be completed on Sunday, November 16th. <br /> <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT/NOVEMBER 12, 2003 <br /> Page 3 of 6 <br /> <br /> <br />
