RUN-SHEET DISCUSSION Firefighters attending a call will need to stay at the station until officers have cleared the call. An exception is possible if the firefighter receives permission from the officer on duty. Drills are two hours in length and firefighters will not be able to leave early unless permission has been received by an officer. This exception will not be made on a routine basis. Chief Kapler will clarify these expectations in his newsletter and at the May business meeting. Duty officers will fill out attendance on the mn sheets. · Beginning June 1st The Department will start using the City's time off slips to request vacation time. AUTO AID DISCUSSION The departments of Andover, Ham Lake, Oak Grove, and Ramsey met to discuss procedures that will be used with auto aid. The hours will be 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. with 3 tankers and 2 engines going to the scene of the confirmed structure fire. · The next meeting will be held on May 13th at the Ham Lake fire station. TRUCK SOG Officers will create a track SOG. Currently, the SOG only states what order the tracks go out. NEW FIREFIGHTER INTERVIEWS · Interviews will start at 3:30 on May 12th. · A firefighter will join ChiefKapler and Assistant Chiefs Hoxter and Lemm for the interviews. Firefighters Bergeson, Gordon, Peterson and Groezinger have volunteered. NEW RADIO SYSTEM · Twenty-four radios have been ordered. The Bums radios will be ordered at a later date. · hnplcmentation is scheduled for September. The County is doing the training and all county firefighters should be trained by the implementation date. BUILDING CODE · Chief Kapler and Officer Streich presented building Code 1306 to the council during their May 4th work session. A case will be written to bring to a Council meeting for consideration.
