· Thc tower in Carlos Avery is currently being built, the one in Stacy is in the process of being <br /> retrofitted, and the one at County Road #22 and Highway #47 and in Ham Lake are <br /> completed. <br /> <br />· The buddy breathing systems are back on the SCBA equipment; the Department will train not <br /> to use them. The RIT pack is what should be used, however firefighters should know how to <br /> use the buddy breathing system. <br /> <br />· Firefighters should be aware of air in their tank. <br /> <br />· Parts for the compressor at Station #2 are on order. <br /> <br />SMALL TOOLS/MEDICAL <br /> <br />Officer Minear reviewed the Small Tools and Medical Report. <br /> <br />· One pump and one back pack are on order. <br /> <br />· One case of floating oil booms and one case o£ spoil socks have been ordered, there will be a <br /> case of each at both stations. <br /> <br />· No medical supplies were used. <br /> <br />TURNOUT GEAR <br /> <br />Officer Lewandowski reviewed the Turnout Gear/Maps Report. <br /> <br />· There are not any cun'ent turnout gear issues. <br /> <br />· New gloves have been ordered. <br /> <br />INCIDENT REPORT <br /> <br />· In April there were 41 calls, 5 were rescue, of which 1 was a CO and 36 were fire. There <br /> were 14 day calls, 9 night calls, and 13 weekend calls. There were 5 Mutual Aid calls and 5 <br /> canceled alarms. <br /> <br />· Year to date there have been 136 calls. <br /> <br />SAFETY CONCERNS <br /> <br />· SCBA bottles were below the green mark on Engine #1. Officer Streich will check into what <br /> might be causing this, it could be the warm air going into the bottles. <br /> <br />· The Department will purchase a dozen safety vests for traffic control. <br /> <br /> FIRE DEPARTMENT/MAY 12, 2004 <br /> Page 2 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
