BANQUET SITE

Thc banquet is tentatively set for McDuff's. Karaoke starts at 9:00 p.m., however, it is
possible to start the banquet a half hour earlier.

Officer Sharp will check what is available at Northfork.

TWINS FIRE DAY

September 12th is Fire Day at the Dome. $13.00 tickets can be purchased for $10.00 with
$2.00 going to MN Fire Service Organization.

MONTItLY REPORTS

TRAINING

Chief Kapler reviewed the Training Report.

August training included Hose Testing, Blood Borne Pathogens and Bill Nice's class on
Trauma. During the Hose Testing it was clarified to go by what is on the hose for hose
levels. The morning class checked the hose tower and the evening class worked on the
trucks.

September training includes Pump Operations, Death and Dying, Pump Testing and Major
Maintenance. Pump Operations was on September 1st. Instructor Mashuga does an excellent
job with his "three things to remember". For Pump Testing the new fighters should be in one
group to get a walk through.

Thc Department has a house available for a live bum. There are a lot of possibilities for this
house; forced entry, search and rescue or ventilation are some. The best time for a live burn
would be the weekend during daylight hours.

NEW FIRE FIGHTERS UPDATE

Updates on Hepatitis B shots are needed for the new fire fighters. If they will not be current
on their shots they will need to sign a form that they will not be taking the series of shots.

MAJOR MAINTENANCE

Chief Kapler reviewed the Major Maintenance report.

Grass Rig Two had the carburetor rebuilt and needs a tune up.

Engine One had the radiator, alternator belt and 2 inner tires replaced.

FIRE DEPARTMENT OFFICERS/SEPTEMBER 7, 1999
Page 3 of 5
