· A possible future purchase would be a thermal imaging camera. <br />STATION CLEANUP <br /> <br />· Firefighter Karrel's group has station clean up this month. <br />SAFETY CONCERNS <br /> <br />When at a vehicle fire, firefighters should approach the fires with the fire line charged. <br /> <br />Gear needs to be rinsed off before stored, otherwise at the next use the floor gets black. This <br />could be done at the fire scene; also the Department will look into purchasing a boot scrubber <br />to mount outside the station. <br /> <br />When masking up in the truck, firefighters should exit the truck backwards. <br /> <br />The fuel level needs to be kept full on the trucks. <br /> <br />STATION #2 UPDATE <br /> <br />· Chief Kapler will put a daily update on the board. <br /> <br />· The Department would like to use some of the landscaping <br /> system. Firefighters will volunteer this weekend to run 4" PVC. <br /> <br />· Floor covering bids need to be obtained <br /> <br />· A SCBA compressor has to be ordered for the new station. <br /> <br />· Apparatus Bay floor will be poured on Friday. <br /> <br />ENGINE #2 UPDATE <br /> <br />funds to install a sprinkler <br /> <br />Chief Kapler went to the Fridley Department to see the cabinet on one of their engines, it is <br />not the same as what is wanted in Engine #2. <br /> <br />The gas fan has been ordered and received.
