Bids for a cascade system are being obtained. Assistant Chief Hoxter met with a company <br /> representative tonight before the meeting. <br /> <br />RESCUE TRUCK <br /> <br />· Chief Kapler and Officer Simpson will make a trip to Jay Craft in Kimball to look at their <br /> service bodies. They will bring back brochures for opinions from the Department. <br /> <br />ILLEGAL BURN RESPONSE <br /> <br />· Company response to illegal burns is working well. The Department will continue with this <br /> procedure. <br /> <br />· Duty Officers will respond to CO calls. If medical attention is needed, it will be paged. <br /> <br />ISO RATING TASKFORCE <br /> <br />· A committee will be formed the first of the year. <br /> <br />LINWOOD FIRE REVIEW <br /> <br />· The Department had 51 firefighters with a total 348 firefighter hours. Four vehicles were <br /> used with a total of 123 vehicle hours. The fire has been declared a National Fire Disaster, so <br /> the City will receive matching FEMA funds. <br /> <br />· The pilot who piloted the DNR water plane wrote on his perspective of what he saw. <br /> Assistant Chief Hoxter will put a copy of this in each firefighter's box. <br /> <br />· In review of the fire, there is a need of improvement in communications. <br /> <br />OFFICER POSITIONS FOR 2001 <br /> <br />· The #1 positions are open for 2001. Chief Kapler will put together a description of the <br /> positions. <br /> <br />· A. letter of application is needed to apply. <br /> <br />SPECIAL RECOGNITION <br /> <br />· Assistant Chief Hoxter will send thank you letters to those who donated prizes for the <br /> banquet. <br /> <br />· Emergency Apparatus worked diligently on Engine #1 to get it back in service.
