REQUEST FOR AMENDMENT TO INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, RAMSEY TOWN CENTER, AND ALAN CHAZIN HOMES PERTAINING TO THE <br />RAMSEY TOWN CENTER 9TM ADDITION; <br /> By: Patrick Trudgeon, ACIP, Community Development Director <br /> <br />Ilack~round: <br /> <br />()n .luty 26, 2005, the City Council approved the final plat for Ramsey Town Center 9th Addition. During that <br />meeting, the City Council also agreed to enter into an indemnification agreement with the Ramsey Town <br />Center, [,I,C and Alan Chazin Homes that would allow for the start of one townhouse building prior to the final <br />piat being recorded. Alan Chazin Homes and Ramsey Town Center LLC is asking for an amendment to allow <br />t'or one additioual building to be constructed prior to the final plat being recorded. <br /> <br />Thc following item is enclosed for your review: <br /> <br />a) Approved Indemnification Agreement <br /> <br />()bselwations: <br /> <br />Thc final plat of Ramsey Town Center 9th Addition is currently at the Anoka County Surveyors Office for plat <br />checking. With the backlog of plats at Anoka County, it is expected to be about one month until the plat will be <br />ready to be recorded. Given that fact, plus the desire to start construction of another building before colder <br />weather sets in, Alan Chazin Homes is asking that the current Indemnification Agreement be amended to allow <br />l'or one additional building to be constructed. <br /> <br />I{ecommemlation: <br /> <br />SlaIT l~cls lhat this is a reasonable request given the strong desire to see additional construction commence in <br />Ramscy Town Center. The Indemnification Agreement, reviewed by the City Attorney, provides protection to <br />the City in thc event of problem with the location of the building.
