Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #22-021 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #21-10, FIRE STATION No.1 PARKING LOT IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, the City proposes to overlay the pavement and improve drainage of the Fire Station No. 1 Parking Lot; and WHEREAS, the City staff has the capacity to prepare plans and specifications for improvement project #21-10, Fire Station No.1 Parking Lot Improvements; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution #21-195, adopted July 27, 2021, the City Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for the purpose of advertising for bids for the same improvements. WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution #21-344, adopted December 14, 2021, the City Council approved final plans and specifications as prepared by the City Engineer and authorized advertisement for bids for said improvements; and WHEREAS, Eleven (11) bids were received, opened, and tabulated on January 18, 2022, and the following bids were found to comply with the advertisement for bids; and Contractor Total Bid North Valley, Inc. $ 104,935.73 Goodmanson Construction $ 109,239.00 Omann Brothers Paving Inc. $ 109,991.04 Aslakson's Services Inc. $ 113,277.71 Minnesota Roadways Company $ 116,012.95 Asphalt Surface Technologies Corporation $ 116,807.28 Bituminous Roadways Inc. $ 117,400.00 Park Construction Company $ 119,3 84.22 Allied Blacktop Company $ 123,844.78 Winberg Companies $ 124,958.22 Urban Companies $ 169,563.50 WHEREAS, the bid of North Valley, Inc. of Nowthen, Minnesota, in the amount of $104,935.73 for the total bid for construction of the improvements in accordance with the approved plans and specifications and advertisement for bids, is the lowest responsible bidder and their bid shall be and hereby is accepted.
