The trunk watermain loop improvements previously included in Improvement Project#22-05 will instead be added <br /> to the plans for Improvement Project#20-05 and bid as part of that project this fall. Since that project already <br /> includes impacts within MnDOT right-of-way, adding the watermain loop to that plan set will not impact the plan <br /> review schedule. <br /> Notification: <br /> Advertisements for bids were published in the Anoka Union Herald and in Finance&Commerce on Friday, <br /> February 1 lth, and Friday, February 18th, 2022, as required per State Statute. The project is also being advertised <br /> and bid electronically through QuestCDN. <br /> Observations/Alternatives: <br /> Alternative#1 —Adopt Resolution#22-054 approving amended plans and specifications and advertisements for <br /> bids for Improvement Project#22-05, Riverdale Drive Trunk Utility Improvements, Llama Street to Bowers Drive. <br /> Funding Source: <br /> Below are the engineer's opinion of probable construction costs for Improvement Project#22-05 based on the <br /> amended plans. <br /> Probable Construction Costs per Amended Plans and Specs <br /> Street and Trail= $ 385,795.00 <br /> Storm Sewer= $ 122,030.00 <br /> Sanitary Sewer= $ 1,620,067.50 <br /> Watermain= $ 545,675.00 <br /> Total= $ 2,673,567.50 <br /> Total probable project costs,which include 23-percent indirect fees,totals $3,288,488. <br /> Project costs related to street and trail improvements will be paid using Municipal State Aid(MSA) funds. The <br /> $612,000 in Local Partnership Program funds previously awarded by MnDOT will be used to pay for street and <br /> trail improvements constructed as part of Improvement Project#20-05, and possibly for a small part of the grading <br /> for this project. <br /> Project costs related to sanitary sewer,water and stormwater improvements will be paid from through the <br /> respective enterprise funds. <br /> As previously noted,plans are purposely not attached to this case to prevent potential bidders from using attached <br /> plans to submit bids without procuring plans through QuestCDN as this could result in bids being received that are <br /> not based on the most current plans as conveyed to bidders by addenda through QuestCDN. <br /> Recommendation: <br /> Staff recommends approving Alternative#1. <br /> Action: <br /> Adopt Resolution#22-054 approving amended plans and specifications and advertisements for bids for <br /> Improvement Project#22-05, Riverdale Drive Trunk Utility Improvements, Llama Street to Bowers Drive. <br /> Attachments <br /> Resolution 22-054 <br /> Amended Plan Title Sheet <br /> Form Review <br />
