Councilmember. introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION#22-059 <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br /> IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #20-07, CONSTRUCTION OF NEW SALT STORAGE <br /> BUILDING AT 14199 JASPAR STREET <br /> WHEREAS,the City proposes to construct a new salt storage building at 14199 Jaspar St <br /> under City Improvement Project#20-07; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council action on July 13th 2021 the City Council <br /> accepted the design services proposal of Oertel Architects, Inc. for providing engineering services <br /> required to develop final plans and specifications for the purpose of soliciting bids for the <br /> construction of the salt storage building and <br /> WHEREAS,the Bids were advertised in the Anoka Union Herald on January 14th and 21 st Bid <br /> information was also available on Oretel Architects website starting January 26th, as well as electronically <br /> through Quest CDN. <br /> WHEREAS, three (3) bids were received, opened, and tabulated on February 23rd, 2022, <br /> and the following bids were found to comply with the approved plans and specifications and <br /> advertisements for bids, and <br /> CONTRACTOR TOTAL BID <br /> A & B Construction $4691110.00 <br /> Gre stone Construction $5 6415 95.00 <br /> VersaCon $57000.00 <br /> WHEREAS, the bid of A&B Construction of Harper Iowa, in the amount of$469,110.00 for the <br /> total bid for construction of the improvement in accordance with the approved plans and <br /> specifications and advertisement for bids, is the lowest responsible bidder and their bid shall be <br /> and hereby is accepted. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> RAMSEY,ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> 1) The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br /> contract with said bidder for the construction of said improvement for and on behalf of the <br /> City of Ramsey. <br /> 2) The City Administrator is hereby authorized to direct Oertel Architects, Inc. to return <br /> forthwith to all bidders the bid bonds made with their bids at such time that a contract <br /> has been executed. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />
