Trott Brook Crossing EAW August 2021 <br /> At a minimum attach each of the following to the EA W.- <br /> County map showing the general location of the project; <br /> • U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute, 1:24,000 scale map indicating project boundaries (photocopy <br /> acceptable); and <br /> • Site plans showing all significant project and natural features. Pre-construction site plan and post- <br /> construction site plan. <br /> 6. Project Description <br /> a. Provide the brief project summary to be published in the EQB Monitor, (approximately 50 words). <br /> Trott Brook Crossing is proposed on approximately 200.5 acres of land in the northern portion of the <br /> City of Ramsey, Anoka County. The project will include as many as 275 single-family homes and <br /> parkland with tree preservation. Site development will include installation of municipal sewer and <br /> water, mass grading, and stormwater management practices. <br /> b. Give a complete description of the proposed project and related new construction, including <br /> infrastructure needs. If the project is an expansion include a description of the existing,facility. <br /> Emphasize: 1) construction, operation methods and features that will cause physical manipulation of the <br /> environment or will produce wastes, 2)modifications to existing equipment or industrial processes, 3) <br /> significant demolition, removal or remodeling of existing structures, and 4) timing and duration of <br /> construction activities. <br /> Trott Brook Crossing is proposed on approximately 200.5 acres of land in the northern part of the <br /> City of Ramsey, Anoka County,Minnesota(Figure 1). The project area is primarily cropland and <br /> wetlands,with a lesser amount of woodland and grassland. The site is located in the West 1/2 of <br /> Section 10 and part of the E 1/2 of Section 9,Township 32 North, Range 25 West(Figure 2). <br /> The project will include as many as 275 single-family homes, installation of municipal sewer and <br /> water, mass grading, and stormwater management practices. The proposed Site Plan is included in <br /> Appendix A. The project will convert about 94 acres of cropland and 25 acres of woodland to <br /> streets,homes, lawns, landscaping, and stormwater features. The balance of the site will include <br /> about 7 acres of tree avoidance, 56 acres of wetlands and about 10 acre of grassland preservation. <br /> The project will include dedication of a 21.9-acre public park. <br /> The site includes sandy soils, 40 feet of topographic relief, and with flat to moderate slopes (Figure <br /> 3). Slopes within the developed area will be graded and recontoured during project construction. <br /> The development area will be mass graded to install utilities, streets,residential building pads, and <br /> stormwater basins. <br /> Development of the project area will involve installation of public and private infrastructure, <br /> including streets,municipal water and sanitary sewer, stormwater systems, electrical lines, and <br /> telephone lines. The project area will be served by City of Ramsey fire and police services and by <br /> the Anoka-Hennepin School District. <br /> 2 <br />
