Commissioner Johns suggested the matching grant application form be simplified from the <br />current five to six page format. <br /> <br />Commissioner LaMere suggested it also be made available on-line to provide ease of application. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos stated he believes there is a need for better advertisement of the <br />program. <br /> <br />Commissioner Olds asked if residents can be charged a fee if they are providing and charging for <br />parking during the Game Fair. <br /> <br />Chairperson Cook stated the Lions could be asked for a portion of their parking proceeds for use <br />to improve the park. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ostrum suggested the Lions simply be asked for a contribution, not a per car <br />parked fee. <br /> <br />Commissioner LaMere suggested the kennel owners also be asked for a fee to cover the City's <br />cost for their participation. <br /> <br />It was noted that by 2005, the trail connections will be more complete which will provide access <br />to the proposed skateboard park. <br /> <br />The Commission discussed the importance of the Trott Brook Trail Corridor and need to <br />document support and find ways to lessen impact to surrounding property. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos asked for input on proposed future projects beyond 2006. <br /> <br />Chairperson Cook stated if there is going to be another bridge crossing, he would suggest a future <br />trail corridor from Northfork to the existing trail system in Dayton. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos noted the bridge project is controversial but once it happens, the <br />trail corridors can be addressed. <br /> <br />Discussion occurred regarding park activities in 2001. <br /> <br />Case #2A: Schedule October Meeting and Public Hearing <br /> <br />Consensus was reached to schedule the CIP public hearing and regular meeting on October 10, <br />2001, at the City Hall Conference Room. The regular Commission meeting will start at 6:00 <br />p.m. and the CIP public hearing will start at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Case #3: Recommend Park Dedication for the McDonald Addition <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos advised that Robert McDonald is requesting sketch plan approval <br />to create two new lots from two, larger, existing homesteads.
