In his notice of retirement letter accepted by the Ramsey City Council in February, Ulrich wrote, "It has been a pleasure and an honor to serve the City of Ramsey for over 14 years as your City Administrator. The City ofRamsey has provided a dynamic and motivational environment that served as a proud capstone to my 42 years as a public administrator. Thank you for the opportunity to serve the citizens ofRamsey. It has been my pleasure to work with dedicated local officials such as yourselves, and to work together to achieve great things for the City ofRamsey. Until my last day in May, my work will be focused on a steadfast commitment to the mission of City and preparing for a smooth transition to a new City Administrator. The Ramsey professional staff is excellent and well prepared for the opportunities that lie ahead. I am confident that the City is in good hands. I have been blessed with a rich career and a bounty offriends, colleagues and acquaintances that have shared this journey." When he retires in May, Ulrich plans to spend more time with his wife Cindi, who retired in April of this year and his two daughters Angela and Megan and their families. He is also looking forward to a being a first-time grandparent in August, as well as spending more time in the great outdoors. A community reception is open to the public and will be held on Thursday, April 28, from 2:00 - 5:00 pm, in the Alexander Ramsey Room, Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, in Ramsey.
