Parks and Recreation Events and Updates: • Floral Arrangement Workshop o Spend the evening learning how to create floral arrangements for your own enjoyment and use. After the class is over, you will have a beautiful floral arrangement to take home with you, or gift to a friend! Registration for this event can be found on the parks and recreation event page: www.cityoframsey.com/parkevents. • Earth Day Community Clean-up 2022 o There is still time to sign up for our Earth Day event! This event will run from Friday, April 22 — Sunday, April 24. You select the date, time and location to clean- up, and we will provide the supplies —to date more than 150 individuals are participating! Join us for Ramsey's 13th Annual Business Expo on Saturday, April 30, 2022, from 10:00 am — 2:00 pm, at Adrenaline Sports Center. Visit the baby chicks at the Anoka Ramsey Farm & Garden booth, check out Armstrong Ranch & Kennels (hosts of the annual Game Fair), watch a dog training demo by AQK9, find a sports league or class to join at Adrenaline, Jumpn Gymnastics or Northern Starz; free samples from Acapulco Restaurant & Summer Lakes Beverage, so much more including drawings, giveaways, balloon art & airbrush tattoos! Attached to the Weekly Update is Expo flyer. • Spring Recycling Day Event. The Spring Recycling Day event will be on Saturday, May 7, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Ramsey Public Works facility (14199 Jaspar St NW). This is an opportunity for residents to properly dispose of a number of materials that are not accepted in the curbside recycling program. The following materials will be accepted at the Spring Recycling Day event: Appliances, electronics, tires, fluorescent bulbs, batteries, oil, oil filters, antifreeze, mattresses, box springs, scrap metal, standard curbside materials (e.g. cardboard, aluminum, steel and tin cans, newspaper, plastic bottles, tubs and lids 1 gallon or less in size, glass jars and bottles) and document destruction (limit of up to 3 boxes of documents). Attached to the Weekly Update is the Recycling Day Event Flyer. • Youth First — Mayors' Prayer Breakfast 2022. Friday, May 20, from 7:30 — 9:00 am at Constance Free Church, 16150 Crosstown Blvd. NW in Andover. Breakfast will begin serving at 7:15 am. Guest speaker is Casey O'Brien.
