How did our NNO celebrations 9o, you ask?

Fantastic! Of course, our Minnesota weather was hot and humid again (105 heat index) as we headed out
to visit all our NNO ce[ebraUons throughout the city.

Regard[ess, all registered events received visits by police and fire, McGruff ~ Scruff. In addition to our
City Council members, this year we had record numbers of po[ice officers, reserves and fire fighters
ce[ebrati~8 National Night Out with residents. All in all, nine fire trucks and 13 po[ice squads made the
rounds that night.

We had several senior parties that the Fire 6t PoUce Chiefs and Mayor made special stops at and throughout our visits, we handed out
NNO tattoos and balloons, stickers, water bott[es and Fdsbees at each event - something the kids really look forward to! Of course, it
wouldn't be NNO if our fire department didn't spray the kids down at each of the parties, helping to keep everyone cool!

"Thanks for your
con tinued support.
This is rea(ly
beneficial for the
neighborhood."

- Jan, 155th LN NW

8,7% jump in NNO registrations

Growth in a city-wide event such as NNO is.a!.ways
planned for and anticipated, however an 87% increase
in NNO registrations was a pleasant surprise! Documentation and samples of all events,
contests and promotions have been included. This year's activities
included:

Food Drive.
In response to the needs of our local food
she[f, we promoted a 'food drive to restock
_ some specific items that they were in need
_.of. The response was overwhe[min!~; We
coLlected 995 pounds of food!

(Section 5: Contests F~ Activities)

participating in neighborhood crime watch.

~Z°LorE, g C°,fesf.
One-hundred and five Ramsey youth aged 12 and under
participated in our annual coloring contest.
