ORDINANCE NO. 05 - CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY, MINNESOTA AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 5 OF THE RAMSEY CITY CODE, WHICH CHAPTER IS ENTITLED "MUNICIPAL REGULATIONS". AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5.07 OF THE CITY CODE WHICH.SECTION IS ENTITLED "FIREAP~IS." The City of Ramsey Ordains: SECTION 1. AMENDMENT A. Subsection 5.07.07, "Discharge of Firearms" of Chapter 5 of the City Code is replaced by the ~b[lowing text: 5.07.07 Discharge of firearms. The owner or tenant or persons having written authorization of such owner or tenant may, upon the land of the owner or the owner's tenant, discharge firearms in hunting wild game in accordance with the laws of the State of Minnesota. However, discharge of firearms shall NOT be permitted within 1,500 feet of any residential dwelling or other structure, park or playground. In addition, shotguns using no larger than size four (4) shot shall be the only type of firearm permitted to be discharged in any area of the City. B. Subsection 5.07.09 "Use of bows and arrows" of Chapter 5 of the City Code is replaced by the following text: 5.07.09 Use of bows and arrows. The use of a bow and arrow for hunting purposes shall be permitted in the City in hunting wild game in accordance with the laws of the State of Minnesota. However, bOw and arrow hunting shall NOT be permitted within 500 feet of any residential dwelling or other structure, park or playground and said hunting shall NOT be permitted within 500 feet of any trunk highway. SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE This Ordinance becomes effective upon its passage and thirty (30) days after its publication according to law, subject to City Charter Provision, Section 5.04.
