CASE # <br /> <br /> ADOPT WETLAND BUFFER ORDINANCE; <br /> CASE OF CITY OF RAMSEY <br />By: Chris Anderson/Recycling & Zoning Coordinator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />As you know, the Environmental Policy Board, with the services of the Hoisington Koegler <br />Group and Peterson Environmental Consulting Inc, has been working on the'creation of a <br />wetland buffer ordinance. A draft ordinance has been completed, - <br /> <br />The folh)wing items are enclosed: <br /> <br />a) Draft Wetland Buffer Ordinance <br /> <br />Obsexwations: <br /> <br />The City Council lbrmally introduced the ordinance at the September 27, 2005 Council meeting. <br />la accordance with the City Charter, the ordinance is now eligible for adoption. The ordnance <br />will take will take effect 30 days after passage and publication. <br /> <br />Peterson Environmental Consulting is currently conducting a wetlands study that'will be used in' <br />conjunction with the ordinance. The GIS and data analysis component of the study is expected - <br />to be completed by mid to late October. Full MnRAM.analyses of all Preserve and Manage 1 <br />wetlands are anticipated' to be completed in November.
