The primary objective of this position may include, but is not limited to, mitigating unauthorized access to data on City-managed networks through the planning, implementation and administration of cybersecurity solutions and best practices. This position focuses heavily on network security and will work closely with all departments, LOGIS and other affiliated entitles to identify present security needs, as well as future needs. This position also supports the IT Department with day-to-day troubleshooting, monitoring and training. The hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The hiring salary range is $33.982 to $37.380 per hour depending on qualifications. This position closes at 11:59 pm on Sunday, June 12, 2022. The City of Ramsey is also hiring for the following Temporary Summer Staff and Internships:  Parks Maintenance Worker (Temporary up to 7-Months). Seeking one (1) individual to assist our Parks staff with general maintenance of City-owned parks and trail systems. This is a temporary full-time AFSCME union position lasting up to 7-months. Responsibilities include all aspects of parks maintenance, construction of new facilities and the operation of equipment while working in a variety of weather conditions. This individual also assists staff with several City events. All candidates must be at least 18 years old or older and possess a valid MN commercial driver’s license (Class A or B) with both air brake and tanker endorsements. This is a temporary full-time AFSCME union position subject to DOT random drug and alcohol testing, working forty (40) hours per week, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. This position will not lead to regular employment at the conclusion of the season. The 2022 wage is $19.511 per hour. Deadline to apply has been changed to open until filled. Seeking a number of individuals to work alongside of our Public Works staff with the general maintenance of streets, park grounds, trails, buildings and related facilities and equipment. These are temporary, non-union positions working forty (40) hours per week, Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. All applicants must be at least 17 by June 1, 2022. The wage is $13.00 to $15.00 per hour, depending on qualifications. Interviews will be conducted weekly. Application period is open until all 11 positions have been filled. Community Partners Needed for Adopt-a-Flag Program. The City of Ramsey is gathering sponsorships as part of its Adopt-a-Flag program. The Adopt-a-Flag Program calls for community partners – both in the business and residential community – to sponsor a flag that will be affixed to a light pole along Sunwood Drive. A Friends-of-the-Flag Level Sponsorship is $50 and a Patriot Level Sponsorship is $500. This covers the cost of supplies as well as an engraved plaque which will be on display at Ramsey City Hall. Patriot Sponsors will also have an engraved nameplate affixed to the light pole. Adopting a flag can also serve as a symbol to honor the memory of a loved one.
