RATIFY CHANGE ORDERS FOR CONSTRUCTION <br />OF NEW RAMSEY,, MUNICIPAL CENTER <br /> By: Heidi A. Nelson, Asst. City Administrator <br /> <br />B a c kgro u n d: <br />At the regular meeting of May 24th, 2005, Council established levels of authority for use during the <br />c:<mstruction of the new Municipal Center. The following levels of authority were adopted: <br /> City Council' Approval of project change orders greater than $25,000 <br /> Approval of all project change orders less than $25,000 by ratification at <br /> regular Council meetings <br /> Facilities Committee: Approval of project change orders in excess of$10,000 and less than <br /> $25,000, ratified by City Council <br /> Facility Committee Members include: <br /> Heidi Nelson, Chair, Asst. City Administrator <br /> James E. Norman, City Administrator <br /> James Way, Police Chief <br /> Dean Kapler, Fire Chief/Public Works Director <br /> Diana Lurid, Finance Officer <br /> Sylvia Frolik, Asst. Community Development Director <br /> Patrick Trudgeon, Community Development Director <br /> Brian Olson, Asst. Director of Public Works <br /> David Elvig, Councilmember <br /> David Jeffrey, Councilmember <br /> BKV Group (non-voting) <br /> 3D/I (non-voting) <br /> Proiect Team: Approval of project change orders of up to $10,000 by James E. <br /> Norman, City Administrator and Heidi A. Nelson, Asst. City. <br /> Administrator, ratified by City Council <br />This case represents the first ratification of change ~rders that have been approved by the Project · <br />Team. Staff will be bringing forward a case as needed to ratify the approved change orders that fall <br />within the levels of authority for the Facilities Committee or the Project Team throughout the project. <br />Staff Recommendation: <br />Ratify the following change orders for the construction of the new Ramsey Municipal Center: <br /> Change Order 1021-01 $4,810.00 . <br /> Install manhole at east sanitary sewer line in east parking lot, delete PIV at <br /> 8" fire water service at south side of PD, furniSh and install 48" manhole at curb <br /> of Civic Center Dr. and Sapphire Street. <br /> Change Order 1041-01 $1,098.27 <br /> Block fire rating change. <br /> Change Order 1061-01 $1931.00 <br /> Changes to booking toilet, revise heads at 30 HM frames in masonry. <br /> Total executed change orders as of 10/25/05:$783_9.27 <br />Council Action: <br />Authorize Resolution No, 05-10-xx, Ratifying Change Orders for Construction of new Ramsey <br />Municipal Center.
