PROPOSED ORDINANCE #05- <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 9 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE ZONING AND <br />SUBDIVISION OF LAND CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE OF RANISEY, <br />MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE RENUMBERING THE EXISTING SECTION 9.11.14 <br />(COMPLIANCE) TO 9.11.15 AND ADDING SECTION 9.11.14 "EXTERIOR SOLID <br />FUEL-FIRED HEATING DEVICES" TO CHAPTER 9 OF THE CITY CODE OF <br />P,&MSEY, MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />The City of' Ramsey ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION 1 AUTHORITY <br /> <br />This ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the charter of the City of <br />Ramsey. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. AMENDMENTS <br /> <br />Secdon 9.11.14 (Compliance) shall be renumbered as 9.11.15. <br /> <br />f;ection 9.11.14 shall be amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />9.1l.t4 <br /> <br />Exterior Solid Fuel-Fired Heating Devices <br /> <br /> Subdivision 1. Definitions. The following words and terms, as used in this <br />Section, shall be construed as herein defined. <br /> <br /> Exterior Solid Fuel-Fired Heating Device - An external device designed for <br />solid fuel combustion so that usable heat is derived for the interior of a building, and includes <br />solid f'uel-fired stoves, fireplaces, solid, fuel-fired cooking stoves, and combination fuel furnaces <br />or boilers which burn solid fuel. Solid fuel-fired heating devices do not include natural gas-fired <br />l:ireplace logs. <br /> <br /> Public Nuisance - Maintaining .or permitting a condition which unreasonably <br />annoys, injures or endangers the, health, morals, decency, safety, or public peace so that such <br />a. cti¥ities affect the comfortable enjoyment of life or property. <br /> <br /> Subd. 2. Permits. A mechanical permit shall be required to' install any exterior <br />s;olid fuel-fired heating device within the City. <br /> <br />Subd. 3.
