POLICY I~()ARD BUSINESS <br /> <br />(iasc #1: Election of Chair and Vice Chair <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson McDilda opened the meeting up for nominations, starting with nominations <br />lbr Chair. Board consensus was to open the meeting to verbal nominations instead of ballot <br />election. Acting Chairperson McDilda asked what the intended duration for this nominated <br />position would be. Staff member Anderson stated that the duration of the term would be for the <br />remainder of 2005. A new election would take place in January. <br /> <br />M{)tion by Board Member Max to nominate Acting Chairperson McDilda to continue as <br />(Daairpcrson tbr thc remainder of the year. Motion seconded by Board Member Freeburg. <br />Ac ti ng (;hairperson McDilda accepted the nomination. <br /> <br />q'h~:rc being no other nominations, the members of the EPB approved the nominations by a show <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Acting Chairperson McDilda, Board Member Bentz, Freeburg, <br />I lustvcdi, Max, and Olds. Voting No: None. Absent: Board Member Sibilski <br /> <br />Case #2 <br /> <br />Buffer Monumentation Signs <br /> <br />Zoning and Nccycling Coordinator Anderson stated that from the last EPB meeting, there was <br />sonac discussion about the buffer monumentation signs. Direction from the last meeting was for <br />,,:vcrybody to give some thought to the signs and what they wanted to see on the signs. He stated <br />lhat l~c did go out and meet with the City of Plymouth to look at some of their signs for buffers. <br />l lc presented another option for the board to look at. Staff member Chris Anderson stated that <br />he didn't like the idea of the sign being reflective. A picture of the proposed sign was reviewed <br />by thc board members. Staff member Chris Anderson stated that he liked the idea of having the <br />(~'ity o1' l(amscy logo and the ordinance number on the sign. Board consensus was that the EPB <br />is l~ot in ['ttvor of the sign being reflective. <br /> <br />(~laai rpcr.qon McDilda stated that he felt the City of Plymouth sign was more artistic. <br /> <br />I]oard Member Olds stated that he approved of using the terminology that was on the sample that <br />was presented to thc Board. He stated that he felt that the wetland buffer could be on the front, <br />with thc side having verbiage 'no mowing allowed'.
