He stated that the thought process is if things go well tomorrow, he <br />may lry to get the case written and on the agenda for next Tuesday's meeting to be formally <br />introduced. <br /> <br />Chairpcrson McDilda asked if Staff member Chris Anderson could e-mail him a copy of the <br />1,reposed sign so he could create a more professional presentation to help facilitate the meeting. <br /> <br />~4ta£1' member Chris Anderson asked the Board members if anyone else had any thoughts on <br />~',tratcgy, input, or how to handle the presentation. <br /> <br />l i~virom~cntal Specialist Bruce Bacon stated that he felt it would be timely to start with a the <br />bigger picture, like the premise for the ordinance that the committee assembled as a starting <br />l~oinl, tlc stated that it would be a starting point to remind people of the purpose of the <br />t~rdinancc. 1 le asked for clarification as to what the initial purpose was. <br /> <br />Board Member Olds stated that it was at the direction of the City Council to move forward <br />bct;ausc el' their concern about green space. Board Member Max concurred that it was a good <br />point to ctcline why the EPB exists. <br /> <br />Chairpers(m McDilda stated that this is a good opportunity to get it out on the table. He stated <br />~lmt it sounds like all the right people are there to answer any questions they might have. He <br />.~;tatcd that the EPB would look to Council Member Strommen, if they start to get bogged down <br />in trying to hypothesize whether to use cement or anything, to re-direct them to the fact that this <br />w~s cliscusscd. Council Member Strommen agreed that she could facilitate as liaison. <br /> <br />At 7:07 lloard Me~nber Sibilski arrived at the EPB meeting. <br /> <br />Board Member Bentz asked if there was any news on the grant. <br /> <br />St~tfl' member Chris Anderson stated that he hasn't heard anything yet. He stated the he was <br />contacted by thc Met Council Environmental Services last month, asking for an electronic <br />version o~' what was submitted. He stated that he followed up regarding the status of the <br />awarding el' the grant ~nonies. He stated that they received 57 applications requesting $3.5 <br />million and they only had around $300,000 available. Staff member Chris Anderson stated that <br />lh~: f';f'B asked for about $70,000. He stated that it was probably safe to say that the City of <br />Ramscy wouldn't get all $70,000. He stated that chances are unlikely that the City of Ramsey <br />will receive grant money.
