• Seasonal Maintenance Workers. Seeking a number of individuals to work alongside of our Public Works staff with the general maintenance of streets, park grounds, trails, buildings and related facilities and equipment. These are temporary, non -union positions working forty (40) hours per week, Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. All applicants must be at least 17 by June 1, 2022. The wage is $13.00 to $15.00 per hour, depending on qualifications. Interviews will be conducted weekly. Application period is open until filled. Parks and Recreation Events and Updates: • Summer Concert Series o The Draw Summer Concert Series kicks off this week with a performance from Roadhouse Blues, and Free root beer floats! This Concert Series will run on Thursdays from 6:30 — 8:00 pm at The Draw park & amphitheater from June 16 — August 25. o Next week, the Concert Series will feature a performance from The Holy Rocka Rollaz. There will be a car show in conjunction with this performance. If you want to enter your car, there is still time to register! • Intro to Pickleball o Come and learn about one of the fastest growing sports in the world in our Intro to Pickleball program on Saturday, July 9 at Central Park from 10:00 am — 12:00 pm. This class will cover an overview of the sport, basic rules and scoring, beginner skills, and time to play. All equipment will be provided for this program. • Elmcrest Art Fair o We are less than a month away from the Elmcrest Art Fair! Stop by Elmcrest Park on Sunday, July 10, from 10:00 am — 4:00 pm to check out and purchase art from local and visiting artists. Throughout the Fair there will be free art classes and demonstrations. There will also be food available for purchase from a variety of food trucks. • Giant Waterslide Fun o Beat the summer heat by sliding down the largest inflatable waterslide in Minnesota! At four stories high. this waterslide is guaranteed to be fun for everyone, not just kids! Thanks to Dedicated Networks for sponsoring the waterslide fun! o This waterslide will run in conjunction with the Summer Concert Series performance by Revved UP on July 21.
