October 12, 2022. <br />Attached to the Weekly Update is a City of Ramsey - Come Work With Us Flyers. <br />Welcome New Ramsey Businesses: Allison's Petite Pastries, located at 14037 St Francis Blvd <br />NW, offers a variety of cookies, cakes, cupcakes and pastries, including gluten and dairy -free. <br />Visit the website at Wps://www.allisonspetiteDastries.com/ for more information. Attached to the <br />Weekly Update is the Allison's Petite Pastries Welcome Letter. <br />Fall Recycling Day Event. The Fall Recycling Day event will be on Saturday, September 24, <br />from 8:00am to 12:OOpm at the Ramsey Public Works facility (14199 Jaspar St NW). This is an <br />opportunity for residents to properly dispose of a number of materials that are not accepted in the <br />curbside recycling program. The following materials will be accepted at the Fall Recycling Day <br />event: Appliances, electronics, tires, fluorescent bulbs, batteries, oil, oil filters, antifreeze, <br />mattresses, box springs, scrap metal, standard curbside materials (e.g. cardboard, aluminum, steel, <br />and tin cans, newspaper, plastic bottles, tubs, and lids 1 gallon or less in size, glass jars and bottles) <br />and document destruction (limited to no more than 3 boxes of documents). Attached is more <br />information on the event, including fees for the various materials. <br />Parks and Recreation Events and Updates: <br />• Movie in the Park <br />o Grab a blanket or bring a lawn chair and join us for a free outdoor screening of <br />Harty Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone at Elmcrest Park on Friday, September 9 <br />starting at 8:15 pm. <br />• StoryWalk <br />o Come learn about Monarch butterflies while walking around The Draw! Follow the <br />book pages around the trail until you reach the end of the story. <br />• Walk with a Naturalist <br />o Spend the morning hiking with a Minnesota Master Naturalist Educator on <br />Saturdays, September 10 & 24, and October 8, from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Rum <br />River Central Regional Park. Observe the changes occurring as Ramsey transitions <br />from a hot Minnesota Summer to a cool colorful Autumn. <br />• Yappy Hour <br />o Join us for a night of fun at Ramsey's Dog Park! Bring your four -legged friend to <br />the Dog Park at Alpine Park on September 22 and October 13 from 5:30 — 6:30 pm <br />for an evening of socialization and exercise. <br />• Starwatching Party <br />o Come and enjoy a night of stargazing at Elmcrest Park on Wednesday, September <br />14 from 8:00 — 10:00 pm.
