10.1.1
10.2
10.2.1
expansion to 20 MGD. Portions of the water treatment plant would be constructed on the existing
City -owned Fire Station property. A water treatment plant layout for the Fire Station Site is
shown on Figure 4 in Appendix I.
Raw Watermain and Costs — Fire Station Site
The raw watermain required to construct a water treatment plant at the Fire Station Site is shown
on Figure 2 in Appendix I. The water main and site acquisition costs are included in Table 12.
Because the Fire Station Site is remote from other City garage facilities, it is assumed that a
water treatment plant garage is needed.
Table 12 — Fire Station Site Costs
Uni '.
st. The proposed water treatment plant site is a 3.5-acre portion in
the northeast corner of the Public Works Site. The northwest corner of the Public Works Site will
remain available for other uses or development as it offers the best visibility and has access to
both 143rd Avenue and Jasper Street. In addition, constructing the water treatment plant in the
northeast corner of the Public Works Site will allow the City to control access to the existing
cemetery on the site. A water treatment plant layout for the Public Works Site is shown on Figure
5 in Appendix I.
Raw and Finished Watermain posts — Public Works Site
The raw and finished watermain required to construct a water treatment plant at the Public Works
Site is shown on Figure 3 in Appendix I. The watermain costs are included in Table 13. Because
a new Public Works building is being constructed on the Public Work Site, it is assumed that a
new garage is not needed with the water treatment plant.
FEASIBILITY STUDY RAMSY 154354
Page 36
