CONSIDER CONTRIBUTION TO RAMSEY FOUNDATION <br /> By: James E. Norman, City Administrator <br /> <br />llackground: <br /> <br />()vcr thc past year, the City of Ramsey has been working towards establishing a sister city <br />rcla/ionship with the community of Loudi, China. A group of community leaders has been meeting on <br /> regular basis to develop economic and educational connections with the Loudi community to assist in <br />d~zvcloping the relationship between the cities of Loudi and Ramsey. This group has recommended <br /> ng a foundation that could receive contributions from local businesses community groups in <br />~';upport ol' their work. The city has discussed making a one-time contribution of $5,000 to the <br />!:()undation to provide initial funding to the foundation. During a recent regular meeting of the City <br /> :ouncil, thc contribution was discussed and staff was requested to place a case on an upcoming agenda <br /> ally consider the contribution.
