What do you feel has been the most important accomplishment of the <br /> Commission during your term of office? <br /> <br />'l'he most important accomplishment of the Commission, in my opinion, <br />during my term of office has been the development of new recreational <br />areas within the city such as Elmcrest Park, Town Center and the <br />oxpansion of our trail system. <br /> <br />2. What do you feel has been your most important personal contribution to <br /> the Commission's work duri.ng your term of office? <br />Tho most important accomplishment for me as a Park and Recreation <br />Commissioner during my term in office has been working with my fellow <br />commissioners, city staff and the public to address the recreational needs, <br />wants and desires of our community. <br /> <br />:3. What has been your greatest frustration as a commissioner? <br /> <br />Ihe greatest frustration as a commissioner is working with developers <br />who make proposals and agree to supplying development programming <br />r.~d thon come back and tell the commission that what they agreed to is <br />not what they will be providing. <br /> <br /> /I. In your opinion, what would make the Commission more effective? <br />When it comes to effectiveness of the commission, the commission is' ' <br />limited to the degree of authority it provides, As an advisory commission, <br />wo can make recommendations and not policy. I would like to see more <br />I;~[itude offered in the policy setting area to allow the commission to <br />d~;velop park and trail use policies and potential fund raising educational <br />;~c~.ivities. <br /> .'i. What would you like to see the Commission accomplish during the next <br /> two years? <br /> <br />I would like to see the commission develop a Capital improvements <br />i~roject criteria checklist that determines project feasibility for planned or <br />proposed improvement projects based on community need and input, <br />fur)ctionality, cost, and maintenance concerns for each park district <br />throughout the city. <br /> <br /> <br />
