He stated that as far as what's <br />~x~ning next, he felt there should be discussion abOut what the EPB potentially has in the future. <br /> <br />Comacil Member Strommen stated that she felt people are aware that the City is doing an update <br />,.)n thc comprehensive plan. She stated that the City has been looking at the greenways for the <br />{:oml2reh<:nsive plan. She stated that the mapping is going to need a policy to go with it. She <br />:;tared that there was some discussion at the City Council that it makes sense for the EPB to <br />weigh in on those issues in a comprehensive plan. She stated that staff needs to work out, how <br />that will work and bring it to the EPB. She stated that it has been discussed, but somehow the <br />I~PB needs to tie into it, because there are a lot of environmentai issues. <br /> <br />Ctnairpct'son McDilda stated that there was a need to review the tree ordinance. <br /> <br />13oard Member Max stated that he felt that reviewing the tree ordinance was not the only issue <br />i'acing thc I;,PB. Environmental Specialist Bruce Bacon concurred but added that he felt <br />,~'ch_tcati(~n might be something the EPB could address. <br /> <br />Chairperson McDilda stated since there were unknowns, that maybe the best thing to do would <br />be to cor~cur to meet once a month for the remainder of this calendar year, then'have another <br />~,lection. l[e stated that there should be some planning to determine what tasks are ahead for the <br />f.',PB. [[e noted that in the following year, there may be some requests from the City Council. <br />~lc stated that there should be another annual plan similar to what was done before. He stated <br />thatt hc felt the EPB should meet monthly until the January meeting, at which time this will be <br />br~)ught back again. <br /> <br />Co, until Member Strommen stated that she felt that one of the last meetings of the year should be <br /> work session to develop a work plan for the EPB, so that the new members are ready to goin <br />.la, mary. Council Member Bentz asked if there would be any concurrent projects. <br /> <br />~3()al'd Member Max stated that as a task force, they were asked to do a tree preservation <br />ordinance and wetland protection ordinance. He stated that now that that there is an established <br />t~om'd, thc:, whole personality of the EPB is beginning to change. <br /> <br />CJmirper:-;on McDilda stated that if the need for multiple meetings per month arises, that he, or <br />wt~oewr is Chairperson, will need to consult with Sylvia Frolik and Jim Norman, to inquire <br />about additional funding that would facilitate the increased number of meetings.
