2006 Drinking Fountains - This would include dog stations. Two would be added to different <br />parks each year. This would be funded fi.om the lawful gambling fund project. <br /> <br />Chairperson Johns thought Solstice Park should be one of the first to get drinking fountains. <br /> <br />2006 Concrete Restroom Facilities - This can be converted to running water. $33,000 estimated <br />for one unit. <br /> <br />Chairperson Johns thought they were ready to make this step. <br /> <br />Commissioner Shryock wondered if they could get privacy doors for the facilities. She asked <br />staff to get additional information fi.om other parks that have these to see if there are safety issues <br />associated with them. <br /> <br />Chairperson Johns indicated she would love to try this and see what public input would be. She <br />wondered if they could be locked when the park is closed. <br /> <br />2006 Hexagonal Shelters for Various Parks - Txvo separate shelters would be added each year for <br />the various neighborhood parks over the next few years. <br /> <br />2007 Community.Building,fOr .Elmcrest Park.2.'Project will include a multi-use building with <br />storage for athletic goups using the facility. <br /> <br />Commissioner Lehman wondered if Lion's Association would have some funds to put into tiffs <br />building or for another building. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood stated it was his understanding the Lion's have not <br />committed to Elmcrest Park at this time but they do need a building in the park. <br /> <br />2007 - Water and Sewer for Elmcrest Park - Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood indicated <br />they will need water and sewer in the park and they do not want to put in septic and a well with <br />water and sewer being so close but they do not know exactly when it will get to the park area. <br /> <br />2007 Replace Walks Leading to Fox Park's Deck - Will replace the current small section with an <br />eight foot wide section. This would be funded by the lawful gambling fund project.. <br /> <br />Chairperson Johns thought this would be a good improvement because it is nice to walk out <br />there.~ <br /> <br />2008 Redevelopment of Central Park - Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood reviewed possible <br />items that could be replaced in the park. The funding would come from park trust fund money. <br /> <br />2008 Fishing Pier at Riverdale Park - Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood noted this could be a <br />cost share with Anoka County Parks. <br /> <br />2008 Irrigation for Titterud Park - This is needed to maintain turf. <br /> <br /> Park and Recreation Commission/October 13, 2005 <br /> Page 6 of 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
