C:-lse ~/-3: Titterud Park Playground Replacement <br /> <br />l'arks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood stated the purpose of this case is to have the Commission <br />ccc:emro, end that the play equipment at Titterud Park be replaced. The project is shown as a 2005 <br />C~I~ project at $55,000, but had not been actively worked on - pending the completion of the play <br />;_tr~:a at Alpine Park. The City has had a regular program of replacing these structures with <br />co_~temporary ones that meet Consumer Product Safety Commission Guidelines, as well as ADA <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Shryock, seconded, by Commissioner Ostrum, to recommend staff <br />bri ~ag back a playground replacement proposal with the $55,000 C.I.P. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Johns, Commissioners Shryock, Ostrum, Lehman, <br />©ltls, and Pontius. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner LaMere. <br /> <br />Case #4: 2005 Capital Improvements Summary <br /> <br />Civil Engineer II Linton presented the 2005 CIP summary to the Park Commission for review. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood stated there will be a complete-trail from-Ehnerest Park ...... : <br />g~)ing south into the existing development by this fall. <br /> <br />Chairperson Johns asked if the trail from 144th Ave to Fox Knoll trail, Sunfish Lake Shoreside, <br />get done in the spring of 2006 because it was approved for 2005. She also wondered if the <br />irrigation should be considered that was not done. <br /> <br />Pall,~s/Util/ties Supervisor Riverblood indicated these items should be added. <br /> <br />Thc: Commission recessed at 7:25 p.m. to set up for a POwerPoint presentation. <br /> <br />Th('~ Commi ssion reconvened at 7:40 p.m. <br /> <br />['~rt~s/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood presented a PowerPoint slideshow to the Commission on <br />new ClIP projects. <br /> <br />2006 Elmcrest Park, Phase 3 Irrigation, 2 entry signs along with possibly an arched bridge. <br />Buildi~g and playground areas are proposed for a few years down the road. <br /> <br />Ch~firperson Johns thought irrigation would be a priority because she does not Want to lose what <br />t~'ees they have out there. <br /> <br />f~arks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood stated the existing irrigation can be expanded upon. <br /> <br />Park and Recreation Commission/October 13, 2005 <br /> Page 5 of 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
