.Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood stated Puma, at this time, could not be moved because they
needed to maintain a hard surface for a second access into the existing development and could be
abandoned but needs to be maintained at this time.

Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood asked for clarification on the soccer field for dimensions.

Ms. Goodroad indicated she did not have the information but believed it would be developed to
current standards.

Chairperson Johns stated within the PUD, they will be putting in a swimming pool, tennis court
and trails.

Ms. Goodroad stated they will be putting in internal trails in their development which does
enhance the wetlands. She stated they are incorporating an HOA park for the development. The
Association will maintain this and everyone will be a part of the association and the park and
pool will not be public.

Ms. Goodroad indicated the development will be phased and the HOA Park will be included in
the first phase for the residents.

Pm-ks/Util'ities Supervisor Riverblood is~ated it is staff's .intention to look at. the p~rk. area to find
out what is best for the area and they would take the park dedication and release the funds when
finished.

The Commission discussed other park areas that are close to this development.

Commissioner Shryock noted she would be cautious to put a park facility into this area until the
adjoining areas are developed. .

parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood stated the advantage of developing the recreational area
sooner than later is the grading is included along with the development and trees and sod can be
established sooner. Parking could be placed elsewhere in the interim.

Chairperson Johns agreed and did not think they would want to go too far until future
development is started.

Commissioner Pontius wondered if4.2 acres was enough for a park in that area.

Chairperson Johns thought it was because of the connection to Itasca Parks.

Motion by Commissioner Ostmm, seconded by Commissioner Pontius, to recommend park
dedication for Summerset Meadow be satisfied through a combination of land and cash with trail
dedication as proposed.

Motion carried.
Olds, and Shryock.
