Councilmember introduced the following "resolution and moved for its adoption: i <br />RESOLUTION 05-11-xx <br />RESOLUTION RATIFYING CHANGE ORDERS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF NEW <br />RAMSEY MUNICIPAL CENTER <br />WHEREAS, the City Council established by resolution levels of authority on May 241n, <br />2005, for the approval of project change orders to allow for construction to proceed while <br />managing minor project changes; and <br />WHEREAS, the established levels of Authority for the Construction of the new Ramsey <br />Municipal Center are as follows: City Council approval required for change orders greater than <br />$25,000, City Council ratification of all change orders less than $25,000, Facility Committee <br />approval required for change orders greater than $10,000 but less than $25,000, ratification by <br />City Council, Project Team of James E. Norman, City Administrator and Heidi A. Nelson, Asst. <br />City Administrator approval required for change orders not greater than $10,000, ratification by <br />City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the following change orders have been reviewed by BKV Group and 3D/I <br />Construction Managers and have been approved by either the Facility Committee or the Project <br />Team. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey ratifies the following change orders <br />for the construction of the new Ramsey Municipal Center: <br />Change Order 105 1 -01 $13,296.00 <br />Structural modifications to precast plank bearing <br />Change Order 1061-02 $6,874.00 <br />Change electric strikes for door openings <br />Change Order 103 1 -01 ($287.00) <br />Add structural key.to plans; revisions to booking toilet; delete footing <br />steps at sanitary sewer; delete stoop foundation; code plumbing changes <br />Change Order 1041-02 $1,572.00 <br />Change location of diffusers in vestibule; clarify brick color and blend; <br />moisture barrier change at window blocking; clarify joist bearing <br />elevations; clarify masonry/structural in area B&C; delete footing steps at <br />sanitary sewer; delete stoop foundation; revise heads in masonry; revise <br />door opening <br />Change Order 1061-03 $246.00 <br />Revise moisture barrier change; add 8 cable TV outlets; clarify window <br />W21 <br />Change Order 1161-01 $2,623.00 <br />Clarify masonry/structural in area B & C; changes to booking toilet; add 8 <br />cable TV outlets; Change voltage to match elevator specification <br />Total executed change orders as of 11/22/05: $24,324.00 <br />• <br />-140- <br />
