LI <br />CASE #j�-? <br />Alexandra House Services <br />By: Police Chief Jim Way <br />Background: <br />The Alexandra House offers professional services for advocacy to battered women in the <br />Anoka County area. At the November 7, 2005 Council Work Session, staff discussed an <br />agreement between the City of Ramsey and Alexandra House for services that would <br />include advocacy to battered women and families, including criminal and civil court <br />advocacy, crisis intervention, support, general advocacy, referral and education; <br />collaboration with police and prosecution on behalf of the victims of domestic assault. <br />A contractual agreement would provide the aforementioned services for an annual fee of <br />$6,500.00 (payable in quarterly increments of $1,625.00). <br />Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends that council authorize the contracted services of Alexandra House <br />effective January 1, 2006. <br />Council Action: <br />Motion to adopt Resolution 05-11-XXX authorizing the contracted services of Alexandra <br />Flouse_ <br />Reviewed by: <br />Police Chief <br />City Administrator <br />Finance Officer <br />CC: 11/22/05 <br />—199— <br />
