Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: • <br />RESOLUTION 905-11-XXX <br />RESOLUTION TO UTILIZE THE SERVICES OF ALEXANDRA HOUSE <br />WHEREAS, the Alexandra House provides professional services for advocacy to <br />battered women; and <br />WHEREAS, the Alexandra House will provide advocacy to battered women and <br />families including criminal and civil court advocacy, crisis intervention, support, general <br />advocacy, referral and education; collaboration with police and prosecution on behalf of <br />the victims of domestic assault. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council authorizes the contracted services of Alexandra <br />House for advocacy services for battered women and victims of domestic <br />assault, effective January 1, 2006 in the amount of $6,500.00. <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by, . <br />Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 22nd day of November , 2005. <br />ATTEST: <br />City Clerk <br />Mayor <br />• <br />—202— <br />
