The City is anticipating
setting this area up for a future Public/Quasi Public use.
Vls. ivlcClain asked if the City has talked to the County regarding this site.
Assistant Community Development Director Frolik replied the plans have been forwarded to the
County, and they have not responded yet.
Ms. McClain stated the County found it interesting that the City is proposing a future middle
school because they have not been asked about the school and they do not like access on a county
read. The County would have rather seen the access for the school off of Alpine Drive. She
-
stated she finds it disturbing that the City is planning on a road to go through her property and
she has not been asked anything about it.
Chairperson Nixt indicated he understands Ms. McClain's reservations. At the present time there .
are no immediate plans to extend the road. if the road extension happens, it could be many years
in the future, or it could be in the foreseeable future. The Commission recognizes that Ms.
McClain is opposed to the street extension.
Planning Commission/November 3, 2005
-247-
