Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION # <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING STAFF TO BEGIN RECRUITMENT <br />PROCESS FOR AN INVESTIGATIVE SERGEANT <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has spent several months discussing new positions <br />to be created as part of the 2006 budget; and <br />WHEREAS, there seems to be consensus that the Investigative Sergeant position <br />will be approved as part of the 2006 budget. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1. That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the <br />Personnel Committee to grant staff authorization to begin an internal recruitment <br />process for an Investigative Sergeant. <br />2. Upon inclusion in --and approval of —the 2006 budget, the name of the individual <br />selected to fill this position will be brought forward for approval for hire. • <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof - <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 22nd day of November 2005. <br />• <br />-320- <br />
