Mr. Kiefer stated he had no objection but that as was stated at the last <br />meeting when he was nominated, he wanted to offer the opportunity of Chair to Dennis Donovan <br />as he is the senior member. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Absent: Commissioners Donovan, LaMere and Spain <br />Brist. <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Consider Revisions to Chapter 6 Administration of City Affairs, Section 6.3 <br />of the City Charter Creating the Separate Position of City Administrator and <br />City Clerk <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Moore-Sykes stated this case is to consider a revision to Chapter 6 <br />of the City Charter. Such revision would separate the positions/duties of the City Clerk and the <br />City Administrator. The City Council has discussed this and it is their desire that it also be <br />discussed at the Charter Commission level. In October 1999, the Council directed that the <br />cun'ent Deputy Clerk Jo Thieling, be reclassified to City Clerk, recognizing that responsibilities <br />and expectations have continued to change for both the Administrator and the City Clerk <br />positions.
