Ms. Sykes-Moore noted that the furniture can and will be used when remodeling <br />occl.lrs. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen and seconded by Councilmember Connolly to <br />recommend that City Council authorize staff to purchase office furniture as listed in the proposal <br />submitted by Facility Systems, Inc. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Connolly, Anderson, <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case#8: Reimbursement and Certificate Sale Pertaining to Capital Equipment <br /> Certificates of Indebtedness <br /> <br />Finance Officer Lund stated that in December 1999 City Council authorized that capital <br />equipment would be partially funded through the issuance of capital equipment certificates. <br />Staff has been working with Northland Security Bank to obtain these certificates, and a <br />resolution needs to be adopted confirming the certificate sale to Northland Security Bank. She <br />stated Council also needs to adopt a reimbursement resolution. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman inquired whether this process would be used every year, and City <br />Administrator Norman replied "hopefully not." <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen to <br />recommend City Council adopt a resolution confirming the sale of Capital Certificates of <br />Indebtedness to Northland Security Bank. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Hendriksen, <br />Anderson, and Connolly. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen to <br />recommend City Council adopt a resolution authorizing reimbursement of expenditures on <br />capital equipment purchased prior to the receipt of certificate funds. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Hendriksen, <br />Anderson, and Connolly. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />The Finance Committee agreed to review an additional case as follows: <br /> <br />Case #9: Northstar Corridor Rail Station <br /> <br />City Administrator Norn~an informed the Committee that staff is quickly trying to put together a <br />case for next month's Northstar Corridor Development Authority meeting. He stated he has <br />been working with consultant Leonard Levine who will be recommending a consulting firm to <br />put together the ridership projection numbers.
