She stated that as things come in, the question needs to be asked <br />if they can they be applied across the board. <br /> <br />Chairperson McDilda stated that he offered up services as a Board to sit down with members of <br />Council or Staff to meet with Mr. Enstrom to allow the City Council to go forward in' good <br />conscience to approve the plan. He stated that Mr. Enstrom has until the end of the day on <br />Wednesday; then it would not be part of the Council vote if he misses the deadline. <br /> <br />Board Member Freeburg asked if Zoning & Recycling Coordinator Anderson could e-mail the <br />Board when he hears from Peterson and Mr. Enstrom. Board Member Freeburg concurred that <br />there was a need to keep everybody informed. <br /> <br />Board Member Olds asked for clarification whether this ordinance was for new developments <br />only. Chairperson McDilda concurred that it was. Chairperson McDilda stated that it was meant <br />for people that are contemplating new platting in the City. <br /> <br />City Council Liaison Strommen stated that it is hard for Staff to have an answer until someone <br />comes in with a proposal so they know exactly what they want to do. Chairperson McDilda <br />stated that it generated good discussion and that is why there is a variance procedure. He stated <br />that no one wants to stand in the way of new development; the EPB just wants developers to be <br />informed. Council Member Liaison Strommen concurred with Chairperson McDilda. <br /> <br />Zoning & Recycling Coordinator Anderson stated that there will always be something that we <br />aren't going to think about. Board Member Olds stated that this is the beginning, not the <br />finished product, but we go forward from here; this isn't the end. <br /> <br />Chairperson McDilda asked if Zoning & Recycling Coordinator Anderson would keep the EPB <br />informed. Zoning & Recycling Coordinator Anderson agreed that he would. <br /> <br />Board Member Freeburg asked City Council Liaison Strommen if the City Council was happy <br />that the EPB members were at the meeting. She stated that it was very helpful, and she felt it <br />was good to have this body represented to show their role and continued commitment. <br />Chairperson McDilda stated that next Tuesday, October 11, the EPB is expected to be at the City <br />Council meeting. He encouraged the EPB members to go online to see the cases for the agenda <br />items. <br /> <br />Board Member Max stated that one of the things that the EPB put in the collective work plan was <br />to meet periodically with the City Council. He suggested that when the maps become available, <br />it might be a good opportunity to have a work session. Chairperson McDilda concurred that he <br />felt it might also be a good idea to invite City Council members to the next EPB meeting. Board <br />Member Max stated that the EPB has committed to communicating with the City Council <br />members on a regular basis.
