Two additional <br />monitors are needed for the replacement of two faulty monitors on the cash receipt system and in <br />Engineering. With the Engineering Department being located in the basement, there is not a <br />printer nearby to print necessary reports. It is not feasible to spend the time running back and <br />forth upstairs to retrieve data, thus an additional laser printer is needed. The computer purchases would be funded <br />through the General Fund from the capital equipment line item of the Police Department in the <br />amount of $1,775, the Data Processing Department in the amount of $5~500, and from the <br />Equipment Replacement Fund in the amounts of $3,925. The Equipment Replacement Fund <br />amount represents the accumulated depreciation in funds pertaining to replacement computers <br />and monitors. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Connolly, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to recommend <br />City Council adopt the resolution approving the purchase of the above-named equipment. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Hendriksen directed staff to receive a bid from Netmark, <br />Inc. for the City Engineer computer, which would include a Diamond Viper Board. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Connolly, Hendriksen, Anderson and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None.
