Case #3: Acquisition of Public Works Property <br /> <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief' Kepler stated that he was looking for authorization to have <br />the City Attorney review the appraisals completed by the City and the property owner. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired as to what the immediate use of the property would be. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Kepler replied that he would initially use the property for <br />outside storage. <br /> <br />Councihnember Hendriksen questioned how large of a building would be needed for salt storage. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Kepler replied that he was unsure. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired as to where the salt/sand mix is currently stored. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Kapler replied outside. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired as to the cost to construct a salt storage building. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Kapler estimated $120,000 to $150,000. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if it would.be possible to construct the salt storage building <br />on their current site. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Kapler replied that it may be possible. <br />Consensus of the Committee was to forward the appraisals on to the City Attorney. <br />COMMITTEE INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Connolly, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to adjourn the <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
