Consent# <br /> <br />FINAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING FOR 2005' <br /> By: Jo Thieling, City Clerk <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />It has been customary for the Council to cancel their last meeting in December due to the <br />holidays. This action does need formal action by the Council.. <br /> <br />Because the City's bills need to be authorized by the City Council priOr to issuing payment, the <br />Council also must designate a member to approve the bills on behalf of the Council, thereby <br />allowing staff to send payments when they are due. Mayor Gamec has offered to review the year <br />end bills list with the Finance Officer. <br /> <br />Staff is presenting a resolution for Council consideration which would officially cancel the last <br />Council meeting of December and authorize Mayor Gamec to approve the bills. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to Adopt Resolution #05-12-XXX Authorizing the Cancellation of the last Council <br />meeting for December 2005, and to Authorize Mayor Gamec to review the City's bills list for <br />payment. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br />City Clerk <br /> <br />CC: 12/13/05 <br /> <br />Copies also distributed to: <br /> <br />City Adm/nistrator <br />Finance Officer <br /> <br />-297- <br /> <br /> <br />
