RATIFY CHANGE ORDERS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF NEW RAMSEY MUNICIPAL CENTER By: Jim Way, Chief of Police Background: .. At the regular meeting of May 24th, 2005, Council established levels of authority for use during the construction of the new Municipal Center. The following levels of authority were adopted: City Council: Facilities Committee: Proiect Team: Approval of project change orders greater than $25,000 Approval of all project change orders less than $25,000 by ratification at regular Council meetings Approval of project change orders in excess of $10,000 and less than $25,000, ratified by City Council Approval of project change orders of up to $10,000 by James E. Norman, City Administrator and Heidi A. Nelson, Asst. City Administrator, ratified by City Council This case represents the third ratification of change orders that have been approved by the Project Team and Facilities Committee. Staff Recommendation: · Ratify the following change orders for the construction of the new Ramsey Municipal Center. Change Order 1051-02 '$1,425.00 Clarify masonry/structural in area B&C; Structural modification 20/S2.2; Structural S vestibule framing Change Order 1161-02 $4,196.00 ~ Relocate A/V cabinet and door F 165; Electric power to glycol pump; Revised change urinal/bk room sink/mother's sink; Power to overhead door F 161B Change Order 1061-04 $3,647.00 Replace door frame S221, damaged in 9/21/05 storm; roof curb for rooftop chiller; install roof blocking with 2x4 ladder framing Change Order 1071-01 $1,911.20 Roof curb for roof top chiller Total executed change orders 11/22/05 to 12/13/05:$11,179,20 Council Action: Authorize Resolution No. 05-12-xx, Ratifying Change Orders for Construction of new Ramsey Municipal Center.
