CASE # <br /> <br />CONSIDER TRANSPORTATION CONSULTING AND ADVOCACY SERVICES <br /> By: James E. Norman, City Administrator <br /> <br />Back~ound: <br /> <br />The City has been utilizing consultants for different forms of transportation consulting and <br />transportation advocacy services since 2000. The City had been using the services of Leonard <br />W. Levine & Associates, Inc., for transportation consulting services and in 2003, the City began <br />using the services of The Tinklenberg Group for both transportation consulting and <br />transportation advocacy services. <br /> <br />During a work session held on December 1, the City Council discussed the coming legislative <br />sessions and the most appropriate way to utilize transportation consulting and advocacy services. <br />It was noted that Elwyn Tinldenberg of The Tinklenberg Group would be running for Congress <br />and that Mr. Tinklenberg's time may be limited. Staff was directed to negotiate a contract with <br />Leonard W. Levine & Associa{es, Inc. for a fixed period of time. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to authorize staff to enter into an agreement with Leonard W.
