Commissioner Asfahl asked staff to inform the Commission of the installation date. <br /> <br />Commissioner Johns agreed and suggested that installation date also be advertised at the Expo. <br />It was suggested that Ms. Slice be invited to attend the Expo so she can recruit additional <br />volunteers. <br /> <br />Commissioner Rolfe asked that photographs be taken during the installation of the Central Park <br />equipment so a log can be created. <br /> <br />COMMISSION/STAFF INPUT <br /> <br />1) Park Assessment Survey <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor stated he has not yet had the opportunity to survey neighboring cities <br />regarding their parks. <br /> <br />2) Elmcrest Land Rent <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos noted the offer from Wayne Lee to rent 62 acres of farm land on <br />the west side o£Highway #47 for $2,500 for the year 2000. In addition, a nursery wants to plant <br />trees in that space later this year, the north line will be surveyed and a line of trees planted for <br />about one-quarter of a mile and an agreement reached relating to how long they will be left in <br />place, with a certain number of the trees left in lieu of land rent. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos stated the $1,700 already received was placed into the Elmcrest <br />Park account and that, plus the $2,500 received at the end of the year, may cover the survey <br />costs. <br /> <br />3) Spring Events <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos announced upcoming spring events including the pet clinic and <br />recycling day. <br /> <br />4) Identify May's Agenda Items <br /> <br />The May agenda will include an update of the Environmental Expo and Central Park equipment <br />installation. <br /> <br />5) Reminder on Outdoor Meeting Schedule <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos stated the May meeting is scheduled for Lake Itasca Park, near <br />the lake. <br /> <br />6) Schedule Joint Meeting with Planning Commission <br /> <br />Park and Recreation Commission/April 13, 2000 <br /> Page 6 of 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
