9.15 Towers <br /> <br />9.15.01 Del'tuitions. The following words and terms when used in fffis Chapter shall hage <br />the following meanings unless the context clearly states otherwise: <br /> <br /> Antenna - Any structure or device used for the purpose of collecting or <br />transmitting electromagnetic waves, including but not limited to directional antennas, such as <br />panels, microwave dishes, and satellite dishes, and omni-directional antennas, such as whip <br /> <br /> Commercial Wireless Telecommunication Service~ - Licensed Commercial <br />wireless telecommunication services including cellular, personal communication services (PCg), <br />specialized mobilized radio (SMR), enhanced specialized mobilized radio (ESMR), pa~ng, and <br />similar services that are marketed to the general public, <br /> <br /> Tower - Any ground or roof mounted pole, spire, structure, or combination <br />thereof, including supporting lines, cables, wires,, brace, s, and masts,' intended primarily for the <br />purpose of mounting an amenna, meteoro!ogical device, or similar apparatus above grade~ <br /> <br /> Commuhication Tower, 'Guyed - A tower that is supported, in whole or'in part <br />by wires and ground anchors. <br /> <br /> Communication Tower, Monopole - A tower' consisting of a single pole, <br />constructed without guyed wires and anchors. <br /> <br /> Communication Tower, Lattice or Self-Support - A tower that has three (3) or <br />fgur (4) sides of open-framed steel supports. <br /> <br /> Height of a Conununication Antenna or Tower - The height of a freestanding <br /> communication antenna or tower is determined as the distance from ground level to the highest <br /> point on the tower, including the antenna. <br /> <br /> Height of a Roof or Wall Mounted Antenna or'Tower - The height of. a <br /> communication antenna that is mounted On a roof or wall shall be measured from the point where <br /> the base of the antenna and its supporting structure' appends to .the roof or wall to the highest <br />' .. point of the supporting structure, including the antenna: <br /> <br />9.15~02 Purpose.
