SUMMARY OF FINDINGS FOR THE IDEAS AND COMMENTS GENERATED FROM
THE TOURS OUT WEST.

Urban Village Tours
Spring of 2005

Prescott Vailey, AZ

Prescott Valley's Center had three main focal points (entertainment district, medical district,
government district), which did not serve the
purpose of being pedestrian-friendly.

The Town Center did not have a core and buildings
were being built out rather than being contained
within a nucleus.

The residential concept was lacking, which was
reflected by the center being busy only at nights and
weekends, leaving the area deserted during the
daytime.

Prescott Valley Center was very auto-dependent, having large number of impervious parking
spaces, leaving little green space for the center.

The art displays of local artists by City Hall added
great value to the area. The City loaned artists a
spot for 6-months to a year and if the city was
interested, they may purchase the art. Art that was
prone to vandals was set higher. The City Council
was thinking of the park across from City Hall to
display local artists work. The art would be another
reason to draw people to the area.
